My first interest in baking was at about age 11, watching my mom make a wedding cake. Perfect timing came, with help from the SBA. We purchase new ovens and other equipment to improve operations. I was intrigued by the beautiful cake being created from those bags of colored frosting I would sneak licks from when she wasn't looking. lol... I also looked forward to going to Aunty Phyllis's house and watching her make sweet bread and other goodies. It was her Rum Cake that I fell in love with! Working at Mrs. Fields Cookies is where my passion for baking really grew! There I realized how much I loved baking and being able to get creative. So rewarding also, is the happiness it brought to me and the recipients 🙂 With humble beginnings, God's Grace, many friends, and a handy daddy, Patticakes Bakery was born. Patticakes Bakery began in November 1994 out of Patti's Love for Baking and the reviews from family and friends. Patti juggled a bakery and a daycare business out of her home, so she could care for her young son Dillon. In 2000, Patti moved the bakery to her current location in the little town of Wailuku, Maui. 2019-2022 Brought us many changes as well as challenges. We attribute our success to God, a supportive family, friends & loyal customers. Her hard-working dedicated staff are Ohana and bake with the same dedication & Love as Patti. 28 years later, as I update "my story" I am humbly grateful for the many Friends, Family, and longtime Customers that have supported us over all these years! Patticakes Bakery is successful today because of YOU and our awesome dedicated TEAM! We are Ohana "Family" Love & Respect for each other and our customers remain our daily goal.
